After shooting Die Rache von Radegast in summer '13, my lovely friend Philipp Neubauer and me decided to not let this whole film thing end with a kind of self-ironic, ridiculous Slav-zombie treasure hunter comedy and wrote a new, more serious movie in a witty, autumnal 60-hour weekend session. We just wouldn't go to sleep without a finished screenplay.
Without crucial changes, we, MY2C Productions, shot this exact script ten months later in 24 days of summer/autumn '14 thanks to a local, culture-promoting project fund and some generous entrepreneurs in our home town Neustrelitz. Right before shooting we had the idea to call on a guy more experienced to work with actors and let Christian Arnold join the team, who'd had the leading role in our earlier short Leibgericht.
The next wise step was to long for Michal Kuleba to edit the material. In 2016 he won the Deutscher Kamerapreis (German Cinematography Award) in the category Best Short/Edit.
